Vision, Imagination and Craftsmanship

Founded in 1907, Rome Machine & Foundry helped make Rome, Georgia "The Foundry Capital of the World." Rome Machine was primarily a specialty foundry in it's early years. This led them into the development of equipment for the textile, food processing, and chemical industries.

When Thomas Berry bought the company in 1960, Rome Machine had already earned a reputation for remarkably durable and reliable machines. Tom's own engineering and design talents led to the development of the Hydralift. Over the years Rome Machine's solutions have come in all sizes and shapes.
